Welcome to The Angel's Food website!

Presently the Angel's Food business is still a dream. The idea for the Angel's Food business model is to create healthy organic lunches for school children ages 3-18. At this point the purchasing will be done online, but we may offer the option to come in person and pick it up yourself (perhaps at a discount). This business will also be used as often as possible to feed the poor souls in the Downtown Vancouver east side. The Downtown Vancouver east side is one of the most horrible places in the world when it comes to drug addiction. I was a cook and a janitor in a few facilities in that area and have always had a heart for these people. I already know that I'm going to have a lot of chicken trimmings to make soup and sandwiches with! This little website will be a hub of activity until the business becomes reality. In that time we will be advertising, raising funds and doing all that we can to educate about cancer and how food can aid in both treatment and prevention. Check out our Cancer Corner for lots of tips on prevention/treatment.

Once Angel's Food becomes reality, this will be where our customers can make their food orders. We are working on fundraisers to raise capital whilst also working to get it off the ground. While we are working on that we will also be updating this site regularly to update you on our progress so check in regularly! Down at the bottom of this page you will find links to our twitter, facebook and email address as well as a button to donate!

Pictured below we have just a few teasers of what will be on the menu!

Here we have Coconut Carob bites. These can be served frozen for a crunch or warmed a little for a more gooey experience. Perfect for children as it is completely nut/gluten/sugar and dairy free. In place of sugar we use raw honey.

*Note: Carob is a healthy chocolate substitute. (Normally I'd suggest cacao, but it is quite expensive). Carob is grown from a tree in the mediterranean and is actually a legume! Carob boasts a wide array of health benefits, most notably it improves digestion, lowers cholesterol and also can be used to treat diarrhea in infants and adults!

Pictured above is my wife Kyoko's  signature roasted chicken. I have never tasted a simple roasted chicken that tastes this good (and that is saying a lot). It is roasted with lemon, garlic, a few herbs and plenty of organic butter. using a higher quality chicken (which tends to mean better treated) also allows for a much juicier product.

This is our fresh cut tomato salsa. Perfect for salad, as a condiment, on some baked pita chips and fits in great with a lot of breakfast dishes.

*Did you know? Tomatoes have a pigment called lycopene. This pigment is actually a form of carotene (minus the vitamin A). There is major research going on as to the effects of lycopene on multiple types of cancer. Eat a half a can of tomato paste a day and you will aid in prevention!
